We rated Season One pretty highly due to the novelty of the story line that blended together an original main protagonist character with a Robert Ludlum-inspired story set in a High School harem scenario. We learn more about his family background, his sister, the demise of his parents and his subsequent career in special forces as a child soldier. As such it is indistinguishable from Season Two in that it covers Yuuji’s backstory. So, this isn’t really an OVA it is just an extended episode one to Season Two. This makes sense when you realise that the opening story-arc to Season Two (“The Eden of Grisaia”) consists of “The Cocoon of Caprice” I, II, III & IV. It slots in exactly at the end of the first season and oddly enough, for a separately-named OVA, it also has an episode name “The Cocoon of Caprice 0”. If only I was that lucky for the main arc of the second season.Įight Bit studio churned out this sequel OVA to “The Fruit of Grisaia” hot on the heels of Season One in 2015. You don't get to see any of the rape and abuse but it is hinted at pretty strongly. If you are wondering: Yes, all of this is in the anime and it is 45 minutes long. He is given several missions and kills his targets without mercy untill the compound is raided by government forces and saved by Asako. He is taught to fight and kill without mercy and is heavily experimented on with drugs to make him faster and stronger. He is also a wanted terrorist who trains young children into brutal assassins. So he's basically a business assosiate who happens to be willing to take in a psychologically tortured child.įortunately he has the best intentions for Yuki in that he is a child molester who likes to dress him up as a girl. He is then handed over to Heath Oslo, a weird guy who bought his sisters' paintings when she was still alive. He then gets handed over to the next of kin still alive and. Later he returns to learn that she killed him and herself by simply walking into the house past all the police standing guard. They manage to knock him out and mother sends Yuki away. He and his mother run away only to be found again by the abusive father.ĭaddy beats them both and proceeds to rape his mother in an effort to produce another brother raping sister. His parents neglect him in favor of his sister which turns to alcoholic abuse upon her death. You learn that his sister is a genius and that she is very interested in having an incestious relationship with her younger brother. it has only one subject and that is the childhood of Yuki from toddler to early teens. RANT: This anime is basically a single 45 minute episode prelogue of the second season series Eden of Grisaia. STORY: The story is Yuki's past up to the point he was saved by Asako. Sachi is probably the one in charge of the class but always dresses as a maid and serves every one in school. After a horrific avent in her past she was dumped at the school. Irisu is the youngest and wierdest addition to the class. Michiru has a massive personality issue and often acts as an airhead and clutz. She has a bit of a trust issue and tries to murder Yuji every chance she gets. Yumiko is the reason the school exists as she is the daughter of a powerful railway owner. She has a dark secret in her past as well and throws herself at Yuji every chance she gets confusing the hell out of Yuji. He got half his wish.Īmane is a young girl who attends the school with 4 others. He is a young man with a tortured past that has been trained as an assassin. Voice actors did a good job overall.ĬHARACTERS: Main character is Yuji. This is how I generally prefer it so I'm fine with it. I have watched the anime a few days ago but can no longer remember either the OP or the ED song. The animation does what it is supposed to do and it looks good while doing it. The more I hate an anime the more spoilers there will be.ĪRT: There is no problem with the art but this is pretty hard to mess up these days. So, having explained this lets rip into this anime shall we? Just a heads up: There will most probably be spoilers. It annoys me to be sure but I will not rant about it. Things like this are normal here and I'm pretty much fine with it. Yes, it is stupid but it is a stupid that I'll allow. In this case I'm not talking about a 90 pound girl catching a multi-ton cruise missile and throwing it back. I can't ignore the stupid shown in the anime and this is a problem as most anime are very stupid indeed. There is a reason for this though and it has to do with the fact that I can't turn my brain off when watching anime. If you have been reading my reviews than you may have noticed that I tend to rip the anime a new one.
